About

IMG_4194.jpg

I was born in Houston, Texas, visited the Hill Country of central Texas whenever possible, graduated from the University of Texas in 1969 and moved to Arkansas in 1982 where my wife and I raised our six children. We now live in a cabin on the Little Buffalo River in rural Arkansas.

From the time I was born, once a year, my father would put aside his obsession with money, power and business connections to take the family on a month-long adventure. It started when I was a year old. Mom, Dad, my three sisters and I left on a rambling trip in our Ford station wagon following the newly paved Pan-American Highway south into the heart of Mexico. Every year after that, Dad would lead us off in an unplanned adventure, usually camping and frequently in Mexico. He would sing songs, recite poetry and give us his complete attention. This book, The Possibility Of All Things, is my small attempt to give back to him the joy he gave me.
